Firenze è uno scrigno di tesori che ha affascinato intellettuali, artisti, letterati, mecenati e ancora oggi è un polo di attrazione turistica dell’eccellenza per i viaggiatori di tutto il mondo.

Il cuore di Firenze è ponte Vecchio che oggi rappresenta il “salotto” della città dove potrete ammirare le botteghe orafe artigiane e le boutique raffinate tra le quali fare una romantica passeggiata scorgendo le placide acque dell’Arno.
Un altro punto di riferimento della città è il Duomo con il vicino Battistero al quale si arriva attraverso caratteristici vicoli, dove ancora si possono scorgere le torri medievali merlate, i palazzi rinascimentali e la tipica verve dei fiorentini.
Il Duomo si presenta con la classica “balza senese” in mattoni a righe bianche e nere e di fronte si erge il magnifico Battistero, per il quale bisogna pagare un’entrata di 10 euro che però permette anche l’accesso a tutto il resto del complesso architettonico che comprende anche il famoso Campanile di Giotto.

The Ponte Vecchio in Florence was built in 1345 and is one of the oldest bridges in Florence. It has survived several floods and has been repaired several times. The bridge is known for its arched construction and the stores located on it. Originally home to butchers and tanners, today it is mainly home to jewelers and art dealers. The Corridoio Vasariano, a secret passageway that connects the Uffizi with Palazzo Pitti, leads across the bridge. It was built in the 16th century so that the Medici family could get from their palace to their government building safely and unobserved.
The Ponte Vecchio is not only an important traffic junction, but also a popular landmark of the city and attracts millions of tourists every year. During the Second World War, the bridge was deemed strategically important and the Germans refused to blow it up, saving it from destruction while other bridges in the city were destroyed. It is traditional for couples to hang a padlock on the bridge to seal their love forever. These locks are often removed by the city council to protect the bridge.
The Ponte Vecchio is therefore not only an architectural masterpiece, but also rich in history and culture!
